PM - Derivatives/Commodities Trade Life Cycle

My client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank in London has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with strong Trade Lifecycle and Derivatives knowledge

MAIN FUNCTIONS

The role is within the Commodities Trade Capture & Life Cycle programme. The programme is leveraging and extending a state-of-the-art FX trade capture & life cycling platform for use within Commodities.

The main responsibility will be for project management of any analysis, development, testing and deployment taking place within Commodities Technology that falls under the Precious & Base Trade Capture & Life Cycle project, one of the programme projects. The project manager will report to the Programme Manager and will need to work closely and collaboratively with the project manager in FX Technology, the BA team, the programme Architect, technical leads and stakeholder working group. The working group has members from Front Office, operations and finance.

The project manager will:

- Chair project working group comprising of senior stakeholders and users
- Own the Commodities plan and manage dependencies on other teams including FX and the Commodities Risk team
- Manage the BA team
- Work closely with stakeholder change functions to manage UAT through to sign off
- Handle status reporting to senior stakeholders
- Resolve issues or risks escalated by project team members

REQUIREMENTS

- Be a highly experienced PM
- Managed two E2E system projects in relation to full trade life cycle
- Strong experience of full TL in relation to derivatives trading & complex products
- This will be in relation to Base & Precious Metals Trade Capture & Pricing but will cover the full life cycle - great exposure to Commodities but open to someone from FX, FI, Equity etc
- This will be a complex system leveraged from an existing FX platform where they will be automating these complex deals
- They need to be a people manager as well as project & delivery focused manager - ie managing the BA team but seeing through testing etc
- Be able to guide BA team on gathering the right requirements etc - perhaps a BA element to their background would help
- Need to be a strong negotiator & influencer as may face opposing views across stakeholders & departments
