Plumber

Plumber required for a world leading Defence and Aerospace Compny based out of Boscombe Down near Amesbury. This position is for a 3 month initial contract with the possibility of becoming a permanent position after this period.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Undertaking planned and reactive plumbing and mechanical installation maintenance tasks.

* Ensuring that estates and operational activities are in accordance with the current companies Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

* Undertaking the delivery of a safe and reliable estates service.

* To keep knowledge current in line with changing legislation and best practice.

* To build relationships with key stakeholders providing a greater level of customer service.

* Prioritise and organise a range of tasks to meet required deadlines and/or expectations of managers.

* Pro-actively anticipate possible problems and to propose solutions to deal with obstacles.

* Be responsible for supervising or providing guidance to other employees in the immediate work area.

Essential skills and knowledge required

* City and Guild Level 3 in Plumbing

* Experience of working on commercial properties or Facilities services

* Driving License - may be required to drive across site for issues

* Ability to take responsibility for situations and work tasks.

* Moderate understanding of the local business context within which the Estates work is carried out.

* Ability to take a proactive approach to customer relationships, standards, continuous improvement, and management of work within a team context.

* Ability to obtain Security Clearance to work on site- No criminal convictions

Desirable skills and knowledge

* Security Clearance is desirable

* Working knowledge of Legionella
