Projektbeschreibung
PLM functional specialist required for a leading global Oil and Gas service company based in Aberdeen. The PLM Functional Specialist is required to provide functional/technical expertise in Product Structuring and Configuration, BOM Structuring and Strategy, and configuration/change management to support the transformation of PLM/PDM processes and tools.
This a full time role working Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
PLM PROCESS ARCHITECT AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST MAIN DUTIES:
* Co-lead the development of product structuring and configuration strategies and roadmaps- this involves defining and documenting the product structure, taxonomy, and partitioning details; and primary rules based configuration table by options, features, and/or corresponding values.
* Analyse and documenting existing BOM structures and data to identify inefficiencies and developing better BOM/data structures and management approaches.
* Document the variant conditions to the BOM Parts and BOM CAD data to drive configuration management,
* Advise on best practice and develop/document Configuration and Change Management procedures and processes,
* Define/Document the requirements- capturing and formalising goals and requirements for the future state system; and converting requirements into detailed functional specifications.
* Support the implementation of the strategies, requirements and process/technology roadmaps.
* Interface with PLM resources globally for synergies and best practices sharing/benchmarking.
* Effectively communicate on regular basis vertically and horizontally in the organization above mentioned relevant PLM activities progress.
* Coordinate and execute relevant user acceptance tests of the relevant modules within the PLM system
THE SUCCESFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A VARIETY OF THE FOLLOWING DOMAINS:
-Requirements Management/Systems Engineering;
- Product Structuring & Configuration (variants
- Parts & BOM Structuring
- Engineering Changeand
- Quality Management (Non-Conformance Management).
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
* Experience in Product Structuring and Configuration, BOM Structuring and Strategy, and Configuration/Change Management
* Strong background and functional experience in Engineering and/or Manufacturing functions.
* Ability to work in cross functional team environment
* Demonstrated work in Matrix Organizations
* Must possess strong proficiency in MS Office 2010 package
* Be willing to travel
