PLC & MOTION TECHNICIAN ENGINEER, PLC TECHNOLOGY, CAD, PLC SOFTWARE, OXFORDSHIRE.

We have an immediate required (flexible to wait for a week or two) for a Contract PLC & Motion Engineer, the position will have following responsibilities:

- Design, building, commissioning and fault finding of IO subsystems based on PLC technology used to interface industrial Robots to ancillary equipment.
- Detailed CAD capture of requirements for existing Robot equipment interfaces and future integration.
- Developing PLC software  in conjunction with the Senior PLC Engineer
- Testing and commissioning of functional control racks, motion drive amplifiers and motors.
- Alignment of mechanical components, both offline, in an assembly area, and on the project site.
- Interfacing with internal customer including Engineers and Scientists.
- Minor modification to electrical and mechanical assemblies.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

You should have an HND or HNC with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic engineering.  You'll have a good understanding of the operation and interfacing of PLCs and of the design and development of PLC software and possess basic CAD skills and be able to details schematics to capture as built systems.

DESIRABLES

Omron CJ series and or Siemens S7 PLC systems would be advantageous.
