We are looking for an experienced PLATFORM/VALIDATIONTECHNICIAN to perform setup and maintenance of test systems and lab equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting developers and validation with system setup (HW & SW, both Linux and Windows), hardware modifications, BIOS and Flash updates on motherboards and add-in cards, system debug and troubleshooting, and test and debug support during validation cycles. You may also be responsible for board-level rework and soldering.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- At least 4 years industry experience as a validation or engineering technician, including responsibilities of supporting and setting up lab systems and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of current PC industry, particularly cutting edge software and hardware
- Extensive experience installing and setting up Enterprise versions of Linux (both RedHat/Fedora and SUSE based) and Windows (7, 8, 2008, 2012R2)
- Extensive hands on experience building and configuring PCs from components, and troubleshooting issues
- Basic understanding of compilers in Linux environments
- Experience in Bash Scripting
- Familiarity with EFI, grub, and grub2
- Solid soldering skills, including fine-pitch, surface mount, and through-hole soldering
- Experience with Git is a plus
- Familiarity with HSD is a plus
- Experience supporting product testing in a fast paced, dynamic lab environment
- Experience setting up different network configurations in both Linux and Windows
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Passion for quality, thrive in a challenging environment, and enjoy working as an integral member of the product development team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven individual who is capable and excited to learn about new technologies and willing to adapt quickly to change
