Platform Manager/Lead Developer - Madrid, Contract

My client is looking for a Platform manager/lead developer for a 6 month rolling contract based in Madrid, Spain.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the technical design and functional development of clients site in achieving agreed international, industry and company data management and web standards.
2. Manage the development and implementation of enhancements, changes, and fixes to the clients site.
3. Responsible for the technical and line management of Support Analysts in identifying and understanding of issue root cause; providing direction for the implementation of technically and financially appropriate fixes to address issues.
4. Provide expertise and training to business users for content management.
5. Give technical direction and recommendations to the Governance Committee and service key users.
6. Using expert technical knowledge, provide cost and technical resource effort estimates on development and change requests to enable business financial and solution development decisions.
7. Regularly review and make recommendations for the continuous improvement in order to offer technical efficiencies and financial savings.
8. Provide and maintain documentation.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
1. Extensive experience in technical development environments including web related design and application development, and scalable web delivery infrastructures.
2. In depth development experience of web applications using API's, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JAVA/J2EE, JSP, JSTL, Webservices; and the use of relational database management systems including SQLServer.
3. Ability to program using Java and related J2EE tools and technologies.
4. Familiarity with the use of Enterprise Content Management systems - Liferay CMS, Alfresco.
5. Experience of mark-up languages (xHTML, XML) and design schema (DTD, CSS).
6. Awareness and understanding of WCAG A/AA/AAA web accessibility and usability standards.
7. Experienced in technical documentation creation.
8. Line management experience.
