Platform Manager

For a private bank based in Zürich we are currently looking for a PLATFORM MANAGER.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Handle requests for new server and decom of server, including consulting and support of project leaders
- Schedule server hardware and build life cycle based on specifications of engineering and requirements of operations
- Manage capacity of shared server infrastructure based on specifications
- Provide reports of Server infrastructure
- consult requestors of new server (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris)
- track running deploy and decom orders
- planning life cycle for Servers with upcoming EOL hardware and/or OS-builds
- capacity management of shared server farms by verifing thresholds, monitoring available capacity and initiate order for required expansion
- single point of contact for international infrastructure, eg Setup, life cycle and close international locations

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- very good in MS Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint
- good command of the written and spoken language: German and English
- basic know how about server infrastructure and operating system
- Basic know-how in unix administration
- Basic know-how in Windows, ESX, Storage
- Very good language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
