We're looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to support, maintain and improve a number of core web services and technology layers within an existing large scale dynamic platform - used across the entire global business to create hundreds of online products and surfaces across the world.
The ideal Platform Engineer will also have some skills in Software Development, Java and PHP being the main languages used (but also some Scala, Ruby, Perl and others although experience in these isn't strictly necessary).
KEY SKILLS:
- Platform Engineering
- Build & Deployment tools (Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, yum, POM parents, Artifactory, etc)
- Web stack, HTTP, Apache httpd
- Caching technologies (Varnish ideally)
- JIRA, Confluence
- Software development (Java/PHP)
- Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, DevOps culture
- Agile, TDD/BDD, Scrum, KanBan, Lean
