Platform Assurance Manager/Safety Manager (Aviation)

Background
Our Central Government client is currently recruiting for a Platform Assurance Manager for a 6 month contract in Bristol.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Platform Assurance Manager
- Act as an influential authority, leading, discussing, advising and offering assistance at all levels on all matters of aviation safety and environmental issues
- Develop strategies for achieving and sustaining airworthiness
- Analysis of individual air systems reports of and information relating to failures, malfunctions, defects or other occurrences that might adversely affect the continued airworthiness of the air system, part or appliance
- Managing ad-hoc engineering support returns to external agencies
- Provide support at team meetings Support to the Platform team throughout the hazard management process, with advice on. Setting safety requirements for new programmes.
- Hazard and accident identification for new programmes and emergent safety issues.
- Assessing safety risk.
- Setting and progressing suitable controls and monitoring their effect on the risk level.
- Determining appropriate methods to show compliance with required safety levels and assessing.
