Plant Systems Engineer

A great opportunity has arisen for a bright, proactive individual to work as a Plant Systems Engineer within the Nuclear Industry.

Our client is a waste management company that provides services to customers to treat and dispose of low level radioactive waste; they oversee a national programme to ensure that lower activity waste is managed effectively.

Your responsibilities will include;

- Producing and maintaining asset management plans.
- Producing and maintaining an asset register.
- Completing facility walk downs, obsolescence reviews, life cycle reviews, asset condition assessments to provide information for asset condition reports and system health reports.
- Supporting Technical Basis of Maintenance reviews and producing reports.
- Implementing changes resulting from Technical Basis of Maintenance output.
- Providing general support to configuration management and verification of as-built drawings/design basis document.
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering team Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs) related to asset and system improvements.
- Assisting with the selection of level three Diploma Engineering units for Apprentices.
- Providing advice and guidance to Apprentices to assist with the successful completion of their Apprenticeship.
- Providing general technical and plant support to the Asset Manager and Systems Engineering Manager, including support for action closure in the systems and asset management areas.

The successful candidate will possess;

- Extensive Plant and Systems Engineering knowledge and experience.
- Experience with the production of asset management and systems engineering documentation.
- Technical Author experience.
- Design Engineering experience and knowledge.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Scientific or Engineering degree is advantageous.
- Good IT skills.
