Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality specialty products made of glass and plastics has an immediate need for a Team Manager for their office in the South Metro area of Atlanta, GA on Temp to Perm basis. Team Managers provide direct supervision and leadership for production, warehouse, maintenance and quality control area(s) within the plant during their shift

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise production personnel in a shift and manage the shift, following standardized work schedules - leading daily team meetings, tracking hourly production data, correcting andmaintaining production based on data
- Perform trouble shooting of molding processes and secondary operations and equipment
- Assists operators and technicians in repairing and updating production equipment and making recommendations for improvement of processes
- Directs operators and technicians in setting and maintaining optimum molding parameters toachieve production volume goals at the highest quality level with the lowest cost
- Tracks, charts and makes corrections based on data related to productivity, quality, safety, cost,etc.
- Involved in ISO related activities, safety audits, Kaizen events, etc
- Maintain, train and handle daily activities related to 5S and 20 Keys Program & GMS
- Evaluates assembly schedule, plans machine loading and executes schedules to support Production requirements. Maintains manpower requirements to support schedule

REQUIREMENTS

- B.S. in plastics engineering, polymer engineering, electrical, chemical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or 5-7 years of related experience in plastics injection molding processing
- A minimum of 3 years as a Team Leader
- Lead, manage and supervise a staff of up to 20 hourly employees
- Manage production processes to maximize quality, safety, production outputs and uptime
- Experience in problem solving and trouble shooting of processes and process equipment
- Experience in analysis of manufacturing processes, development of process improvements andvalidation of process changes
- Experience working in a fast paced operational environment with constant interaction with operators, technicians and equipment
- Experience in leading a team to work in a progressively improving team environment
