Plant Floor Technical Engineer

PLANT FLOOR TECHNICAL ENGINEER

We are currently looking to recruit a Plant Floor Technical Engineer as part of our continued growth. The position will be working for us on one of our prestigious automotive customer sites.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS:

KEY BUSINESS ATTRIBUTES

Assist in the maintenance and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

Ensure total customer satisfaction
-

Ensure total service end to end performance
-

Support all major problem management to the point of resolution
-

Carry out continual service Improvement activities
-

Good understanding of diagnosing faults with some electrical knowledge

- DC TOOLING (DCT) SYSTEM SUPPORT
-

Provide absolute support for the DCT shop floor hardware and software
-

Carry out regular scheduled preventative maintenance activities
-

Perform scheduled pre-shift start-up checks to ensure system is ready for start of production
-

Where applicable provide training to end users
-

Provide support for all change management activities

- VCATS DIAGNOSTIC TESTERS AND FLAGS
-

Provide hardware support for the VCATS shop floor portable testers, including the swap-out and workshop repair
-

Carry out regular scheduled preventative maintenance activities
-

Configuration of associated peripherals including current probes and printers
-

Good understanding of Windows XP and Windows 7

- MISCELLANEOUS SHOP FLOOR RELATED HARDWARE
-

Provide first-line call-out support for all agreed shop floor hardware, (PC's, Printers, Barcode Readers etc.) for escalation to appropriate Land Rover Fix-Group for repair

OTHER FEATURES OF JOB (SHIFTS, TRAVEL, WORKING CONDITIONS ETC.)

Working hours will be on a shift basis in-line with the business requirements including weekend working at short notice of the customer - Jaguar Land Rover
