OUR CLIENT, A LEADING ENGINEERING COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A PLANNING ENGINEER FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT TO BE BASED IN BOURNEMOUTH.

As a PLANNING ENGINEER you will be accountable for providing professional production engineering service to the based upon the foregoing list of duties & instructions.

Key Deliverable:

- To liaise with the Design Office during the development and trial installation phase of modification programmes
- To produce installation & manufacturing planning process packs, including required technical/design data, ensuring the configuration status.
- To provide technical query assistance to Production, liaising with the necessary Design Authorities.
- To ensure the timely delivery of planning bills of material to Purchasing for processing.
- To liaise with other Company departments/represent the Planning Dept at meetings, as required.
- To administer the control of maintenance & installation planning process documentation workpacks, in accordance with Company procedures.
- To administer Production modification & maintenance planning documentation, as necessary.
- When authorised, to prepare, issue and amend manufacturing process workpacks.
- When authorised, to prepare, issue and amend installation process workpacks.
- When authorised, to prepare, issue and amend scheduled maintenance workpacks
- When authorised, to act as production and documentation controller

Required Skills:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance/production planning function, within an aircraft engineering environment
- Experience of direct liaison with customers, contractors and all levels of an organisation (from shop floor to senior management)
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawing and translate onto a planning document
- Ability to understand the workflow process in relation to manufacturing and assembly
- Previous experience of AreoTrac is highly desirable
