Planning Engineer

I am working with a large engineering consultancy who have acquired some work in the defence sector and are looking for experienced planners with strong engineering backgrounds. You will be working alongside a team of planners based in Glasgow, however occasional site visits to Edinburgh will be required. The ideal candidate will be fully proficient in the use of Primavera (up to P6) and have experience of working on complex engineering projects. Experience of working in construction, Naval or marine vessels would be of an advantage. The ideal planner will be able to; - create project plans from scratch - liase with both senior management and engineers to produce plans and documentation to the client - have a good knowledge of bugets and costings - change plans when needed and advise the client or why changes have been made - understand the sensitivity in a defence project and make sure the planning is done in a compliant way The job is being offered on a long term contract basis and the client is looking to interview immediately.
