Planning Enforcement Officer

We are looking for X 2 Planning enforcement officers to join the team ASAP for initially 6 months
Rate: £28 - £30 per hour Ltd

The emphasis on gypsy and traveler enforcement. To provide a high level service for the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control. To advise on appropriate action, and to take action to resolve breaches of planning control in accordance with Government Guidelines.

Main duties and responsibilities:
To investigate complaints alleging breaches of planning control within time restraints as set out in the Planning Enforcement Policy. To take formal enforcement action when appropriate. To answer general planning enforcement queries, and specifically queries relating to own cases. To ensure compliance with appropriate legislation, Council Policies, the Constitution, Financial regulations and other requirements of the Council.

Relevant Experience
Demonstrable experience of planning enforcement
Experience of investigating and resolving breaches of planning control
Experience of preparing reports and statements for formal action and serving Notices
Experience of carrying out interviews under caution and giving evidence at Court and at planning appeal Inquiries and Hearings
Evidence of effective performance management outcomes
