Planning Consultant

LOCATION: Hoyland (Junction 36 M1), Barnsley

JOB TITLE: Planning Consultant (Maternity Cover)

SALARY & BENEFITS : £26-30k depending on experience

WORKING HOURS: 09.00 - 17.00

THE COMPANY: Our client is a UK market leader in the Free Solar Industry with over 30,000 free installs completed they are now offering commercial biomass boilers to further increase their customer base.

THE ROLE: We are currently looking to recruit a Planning Consultant to join the Biomass team on a temporary basis for approximately nine months of maternity cover to prepare all planning applications for commercial biomass boiler installations and associated works.

There is potential for this opportunity to be extended due to the increasing level of installations. The role is within a newly established business unit of A Shade Greener based in an expanding team as the team build up business and installations to target levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:- -

Preparation of planning applications and supporting documentation including Design and Access Statements and Planning Statements

Site assessment and suitability appraisal

Liaise and negotiate with planning officers

Liaising with clients, external consultants and company surveyors
-

Practical experience of all aspects of the statutory planning process

Capable of organising and developing your work with minimal supervision

Sole expert on planning within the company
-

Assisting with Land Registry and title ownership matters

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL ABILITIES

A degree level planning qualification
-

Detailed knowledge of the British Town Planning system

Good experience in managing projects
-

A driving licence would be highly advantageous
