What is the purpose of the role?In this position you will be providing the necessary support to our external Contractor Planners and In-House Thames Water Planners. The team ensure all requirements are in place ahead of our engineers repair works planned dates, with the objective of avoiding cancellations. They also provide a point of contact for the Thames Water Customer Service Case Management team for any queries on jobs being case managed. The purpose of the role is to contribute to the excellent customer service we provide as the largest water and waste-water company in the UK.What makes this role unique?This is a superb opportunity to join our vibrant Planning Assurance Team. In this lead role it will give you amazing exposure to the business and develop you to more into bigger roles or different teams.What will this role involve?Day to day duties and responsibilities may include:Ensuring that all requirements are in place ahead of planned repair and maintenance work to reduce avoidable cancellations.Ensuring all Thames Water repair work goes ahead as planned.Ensuring that the Customer Service Case Management team have the required information available to them to provide updates to customers in a timely manner, where timescales for planned work may change.Acting as middle-man between departments in a timely, professional, efficient and polite manner, to challenge and chase actions in advance of planned work date.Taking ownership of your own personal development.Making sure the health, safety and well-being of employees and other affected persons is my top priority at all times.What are we looking for?To be considered for this role you will need to have previous customer service experience and have excellent communication skills. An understanding of water network operations is preferred but by no means necessary. You should be IT literate, be able to adapt to using new software quickly, possess the ability to prioritise intelligently and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Any lead or team management experience will benefit your application.Thames Water information and salary detailsThis role is based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire and is offering a basic salary of £25,000, depending on skillset and experience. Along with the basic salary you will also be entitled to join our excellent company pension scheme.
