Planning and Reporting Analyst

My client a leading energy provider in the UK currently has a requirement for Planning and Reporting Analyst. You will be required to calculate, analyse, challenge and present to senior management key aspects of the financial performance in relation to the project.

As the planning and reporting analyst you will own and continuously improve the overall financial reporting processes (monthly, formal forecasts and medium-term plans), supporting the wider team and project.

You shall require the following experience:

* Commercial focus, highly numerical and highly analytical

* Strong knowledge of both international and UK generally accepted accounting principles

* Able to challenge the way things are done and look at ways to make improvements to the business

* Strong IT skills (Spreadsheets, database)

* Knowledge of internal systems (Aligne, Genesis, SAP)

* Able to understand changing market conditions and take the necessary steps to pre-empt or address any impacts

* Able to work effectively across the business unit with strong influencing skills
