PLANNER/SCHEDULER

£26-31K PLUS PACKAGE - 6 MONTH ROLLING CONTRACT

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Engineering Support Services organisation for a number of candidates with either Mechanical, Electrical or Trade based background to fulfil a number of Planning roles within a large scale outfitting programme.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE ARE AS FOLLOWS - - Provide a focal point of assembly operations enquiries relating to workscope and scheduling
- Ensure that the internal planning and project control system is fully populated at all times
- Manage change requests, through a process of validation against original contracted work scope to assess impact against cost or schedule
- Liaise with key project stakeholders such as Estimating, Production, Planning, Engineering and Subcontractors where relevant
- Manage, produce, distribute and analyse "production lookaheads" and to ensure performance management information is captured and actioned accordingly
- Issue all assembly documentation for the block and maintain document control

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DISPLAY THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - - Background in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other Trade based role
- Experience of planning for works in either a marine, production or manufacturing environment
- Good IT Literacy with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Previous experience in a fast moving project environment would be advantageous
- Good communication skills, problem solver
- Experience of producing work packets, schedules or Bill of Materials from an Electrical perspective would be desirable
- Must be able to gain UK SC level clearance for this role
