PLANNER - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - FRENCH OR DUTCH SPEAKING

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Planner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES
The Planner will work on customer projects.
The Planner has a variety of duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Local- & European counterparts (ie Manufacturing/Sales & Marketing/Inventory Control/Business Logistics Management/Business Development Management)
- Maintain demand planning parameters in Demand Planning tool
- Optimize statistical forecast in Demand Planning tool
- Review & process of market intelligence input
- Support European/Country Demand Reviews
- Direct responsibility for product availability
- Provide input to MPS on replenishment plans for manufacturing, vendors and converters
- Manage a distribution plan including replenishment release
- Manage and resolve supply plan exceptions with demand and manufacturing planning that balances demand with supply on a day to day basis
- Resolve supply plan exceptions with Countries and manufacturing planning
- Maintain DRP parameters to meet European inventory and service targets
- Responsible for rebalancing inventory in short supply situations based upon business rules and guidelines Handle phase in/phase out projects
- Support New Product Introductions Responsible for meeting NWI objectives
- Support Supply Reviews Participates in S&OP process as key member of business team Support SKU & Portfolio Management
- Responsible for what-if simulations and analysis on Demand & Inventory Management
- Responsible for supply chain optimization and improvement initiatives
- Responsible for project management initiatives
- Manage complex business scenario
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management or Business & Engineering and minimum 5 years related experience in planning or similar logistics.
- Inventory control, materials management/production planning with substantial contribution
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access) and It systems
- Supply chain principles and inventory control, planning systems, forecasting techniques and statistics
- Knowledge of deployment planning techniques
- Knowledge of sales marketing principles and of S&OP process principles
- Knowledge of manufacturing planning principles
- Knowledge of demand and DRP planning tools
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational and mathematical skills
- Strong understanding of scheduling concepts, practices, and procedures.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively interact with all members of the organization and work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of cycle count and inventory control techniques
- Pro-active, showing initiative and sense of responsibility
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Result oriented, client focused and analytical thinking
- Ability to learn client's software quickly.
