Planner

A leading renewable energy client is looking for a Planner to join the Inspection Management team. Our client is looking for an individual who can start this role ASAP up until approx., 31st August 2016, with the possibility of a further 2 months extension. Hours of work 8hrs a day, 5 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and maintain an integrated schedule and resource plan for major activities and projects
- Liaise closely with Programme Managers and Project Managers and Site offshore Co-ordinator to create, maintain, and add new requirements as they arise.
- Support the teams with setting up detailed plans for projects.
- Optimise scheduling and resourcing across the portfolio.
- Meet regularly with planners from other offshore wind farms in order to ensure close and efficient coordination of activities.
- Develop the policies, procedures and local instructions to implement and continually improve planning and scheduling in Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- MSc or other relevant degree. Competence equivalent PMI-SP (PMI Scheduling Professional), Primavera P6 experience.
- SAP, Excel is a must as the individual will need to extract scheduling information from maintenance plans developed by others.
- Offshore wind industry knowledge would be an advantage.
- Experience in planning maintenance, industrial environment.
- Excellent communication skills, approachable.
- Ability to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way.
- Must have an analytical approach to work and a good eye for detail.
- Strong ability to examine information, interpret data and extract key information needed for planning activities.
- Manage and prioritise tasks, must be able to work on several projects or issue simultaneously
- Spoken and written English is a must as documentation is prepared in English.
