Planner

A Renewable Energy client is looking for one Senior Planner and one Planner to start in May 2014 on 12 months initial contract (maximum 2 years). These individuals will be focusing on various offshore wind farm projects throughout Europe.

Establish the Time Management Plan (part of the Project Management Plan).
Support the project organisation in developing master time schedules in accordance with targets for the relevant phase.
Develop resource (manpower) scheduling in accordance with guidelines.
Assist the project organisation in the preparation of tender time schedules with project milestones for employer/external supplies and facilitate to ensure that requirements to the suppliers' planning and progress reporting are included in the tender documents
Support the project organisation in maintaining master time schedules and resource scheduling.
Secure implementation of the DPR system, collect progress data and update the plan accordingly
Provide detailed analysis including milestone tracking, critical path and float analysis as required within the project and provide robust challenge as part of the progress updating process
Perform scenario analysis in order to identify the planning flexibility, required decision points etc. to support appropriate decision-making where alterations and variations may be required.
Review suppliers time schedules and ensure that they comply with the overall construction time schedule.
Develop and maintain the Time Schedule Assumption Book
Keep the project organisation informed of time schedule changes and report progress, performance and forecast on a regular basis to the project management
Ensure that relevant planning-related experience is documented, shared and communicated to relevant parts of the organisation
Decide how scheduling is to be handled in the asset project following agreement with the Programme Director/EPC director/Project Development Manager

Education/Certification:
Senior Planner: 10 years professional experience, preferably with minimum 3 years experience within planning in the offshore wind farm industry
Planner: Minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably with experience within planning in the offshore wind farm industry
MSc or other relevant degree. Competence equivalent PMI-SP (PMI Scheduling Professional), Primavera P6 experience
Recommended 5 years of experience in Project Planning
Recommended 2 years of experience working in project Matrix organisation

The Consultant must bring his own mobile telephone/PC. The client will provide access to their systems via computer access. The client Energy will provide office facilities available to the Consultant including office space.
