PL1 Mainframe Programmer (PL/1)

My Dublin based financial services client is looking for a PL1 Mainframe Developer - Starting Dec 2012/Jan 2013. We have a number of PL1 people on site from the EU with this client so please call me for a daily rate quote and to find out more about the client.

Job Specification for PL/1 Developer on the Banking System

System Environment:

The Core Retail Banking environment consists of
- Mainframe PL/1 application software (developed in-house) supporting both online and batch processes.
- DB2 Table and IMS Database processing.
- Application processing, supporting key retail banking functionality

Key Skills:
- PL/1 (min 5 years plus)
- JCL
- TSO, Changeman

Other Skills: (not essential)
- DB2
- IMS
- Tablebase

General:
- Ability to work as part of a team and be proactive is essential. Experience of Retail Banking applications and/or business functionality would be an advantage, though not essential.

Contract will be from 6 months minimum.
