PL/SQL Developer - Datamodelling/Database Design, Oracle - Federal Gov

A large Federal Government department in Canberra is currently looking to engage an experienced PL/SQL DEVELOPER to provide services for an application development project. This includes the provision of advice, understanding business requirements, documenting solutions and undertaking development activities.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Application development using Oracle PL/SQL;
- Datamodelling/database design;
- SQL tuning in an Oracle database;
- Participating in the testing and implementation of changes in a formalised change management environment;
- Preparation of design and system documentation

You will need to possess the following skills/experience:

- Demonstrated experience in developing applications using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL;
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle databases (preferable 11g);
- Demonstrated experience in Datamodelling/database design for an Oracle database;
- Demonstrated experience in the performance tuning of Oracle SQL;
- Knowledge of PERL Scripting (desirable)
