PL/SQL Developer

We are looking for PL/SQL DEVELOPER for an urgent opening with one of our esteemed clients.

Position/Title: PL/SQL Developer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- ENGLISH AND DUTCH AND FRENCH
- You are part of the sales support team, to support 1 major application One Selling' on a  Siebel platform, and several  smaller Java based applications running on Oracle databases, and on WebSphere Servers.

Your role in the team will be:

- Be part of the Hotline sales: ie give functional support on 4 applications in the sales area.
- Make sure by actively adapt orders that are stuck in the order flow, using different tools at your disposal.
- Support the end users of the sales applications when they are blocked in the different sales applications.
- Participate in the guard role for sales applications
- Follow up the IMD's (change/release requests) evaluate the impact and (dis)approve them for our applications.
- Audit the CMDB (central documentation ) for our applications, and keep up to date the alarming documents for the service desk.
- Keep good contact and cooperate with development teams, other operational teams, project teams and our internal customers.
- Ensure the different support processes according to Itil methodology
- Execute the different communication processes towards end - users, management, in case of incidents/problems.
- Create reports/statistics on request of the Service Level Manager, the team leader or other management, on incident tickets, open development issues,
- Actively participate and drive in the resolution of incidents.
- Understand the sales process, discover and repair failures in the process.
- Analyse incidents, link them and build Problem Management Cases where necessary.
- Follow up incidents, problems, mails, troubled orders.
- Perform morning checks
- Document incidents and resolutions, and keep the team documentation up to date.
- Follow up with each release the automatic monitoring scripts and adapt when necessary.
- Participate in the business operational meetings and represent the support team there.

PROFILE:

- Knowledge of ITIL and its different processes, and experience in an ITIL driven organisation.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft office.
- Experienced in SQL and PLSQL.
- General IT knowledge: Oracle Databases, web based applications, Java, webservers, ...
- Reporting skills: good knowledge of SQL and at least one reporting tool, preferably Microstrategy or BI.
- Strong communicative skills
- English and Dutch and French
- Show entrepreneurship: be communicative, take initiative.
- Customer and service oriented, team player.
- Can work independently.
- Can adapt to changing circumstances.
- Able to operate in a multilingual, multicultural environment.
- Quick learner.
- Basic knowledge of sales processes is a plus.
