Piping Designer

Pipeline Designerneeded in East Houston, TX for an independent terminal and energy storage service provider. This is a long term contract opportunity with potential of going direct.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Must be able to fully detail equipment, structural, piping, vessels, platforms/ladders, etc. Develop drawings for pipeline systems from field notes, rough or detailed sketches utilizing industry standard techniques.
- Walk-down of existing facility to bring P&ID's and Schematics current to as-built status.
- Prepares maps of pipeline systems and station locations, using field survey notes and aerial photographs.
- Prepare walk-down sketches of pipeline systems and associated equipment for design draftsman. Must be able to sketch full details of equipment, structural, piping and vessels.

REQUIREMENTS

- Proficient in AutoCAD. Working knowledge in 3D Piping packages, CADWorx Plant 2009, CADWorx P&ID 2009, ARCGIS, MS Office, and Lotus Notes.
- 5-10 years solid field experience related to refineries and/or tank farms.
- Experience in field walk down sketching of piping systems and their associated equipment. Ability to follow piping systems with a plant environment.
- Experience in drafting and detailing of process piping and structural elements. Ability to create and read PFD's and P&ID's.
