Pipeline Engineer

Integrity Engineer needed to provide technical, business development and managerial support for the company Asset Integrity Management (AIM) engineering consulting project activities in the petrochemical and power generation sectors. This is a contract to hire position located in Houston, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and support delivery of integrity engineering consulting projects by providing technical and managerial input to Asset Integrity Management.
- Perform Remaining Useful Life calculations and recommend inspection frequencies, Fitness for Service evaluations,Root Cause Analysis on equipment and promote options for resolution.
- Evaluate and assess existing pipe, tanks and vessels for mechanical integrity. Understand and apply ASME Code requirements to plant equipment. Develop corrosion monitoring programs and strategies.
- Perform field audits to assess application of critical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place and are functioning as intended. Provide engineering expertise and guidance on projects on Integrity Management requirements including the elements of Project HSSE Reviews, Inherently Safer Design Principles and Hazard and Risk Assessments.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS degree in Engineering is required (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgy). Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years experience in integrity engineering or equivalent in the petrochemical sector.
- Technical knowledge and work experience in integrity risk management and analysis. Knowledge of risk based inspection, fixed equipment design, materials of construction, and root cause investigation techniques.
- Knowledge of multiple types of fixed equipment such as vessels, heaters, boilers, heat exchangers, piping, and valves. Fixed equipment experience in petrochemical or refining industries.
- Working knowledge of regulatory codes and industry standards including ASME, API and NBIC.
