Picture Editor - Photoshop - Assistant Content Producer - Images

I am currently recruiting for a Picture Editor on behalf of a leading global Broadcasting organisation. The role will be Salford based for an initial 3 month contract.

My client is looking for a Picture Editor with experience of using Photoshop on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be working on a large number of images and need to be quick at their work - without affecting quality.

The successful Picture Editor will be working within an online environment and will be liaising with production teams via email and phone to gain an understanding their requirements. Candidates may also be asked to undertake picture research and make suggestions on what images to use.

The ideal Picture Editor will have:
*Excellent editorial and technical judgement, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
*Editorial and creative flair with proven experience of editing pictures for the web.
*Excellent ability to communicate with end users and technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.
*Proven experience of meeting both operational and editorial demands, with the ability to recognise a problem and diagnose its likely causes, preferably gained on a 24/7 consumer-facing and entertainment-focused product or service.
*Experience of using key web production tools and software, including Photoshop and content management systems, and a proven ability quickly to learn new ones.
*A good working knowledge of content and data management systems.

Applicants ideally will have previously worked within Broadcast/Media organisations.
