Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center is seeking a Physician-in-Chief

The Physician-in-Chief (PIC) will provide operational and visionary physician leadership to further the integration of cancer clinical and research activities (as required) on disease specific programs and network development across the entities of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

The PIC's areas of responsibilities will include:

•Working with the Chief Administrative Officer of the Cancer Service Line, cancer physicians and other cancer care delivery specialists to coordinate multi-disciplinary care, develop clinical care pathways and implement initiatives to help manage variations in care, and facilitate the implementation of Precision Cancer Medicine with advanced diagnostics.
•Establish multi-modality clinical outcome measures and plans for improvement, partly through facilitating clinical informatics in care delivery based on evidence.
•Provide physician leadership for integrated disease programs across inpatient and outpatient settings, the Penn Cancer Network Affiliates, and all hospital entities across the health system.
•Working with Cancer Service Line administrative and nursing leaders, the PIC will oversee the cancer quality committee to sustain a culture of safety and quality across the cancer enterprise.
•Collaborate with health system executives, Department Chairs and Division Chiefs and serve the Cancer Service Line Executive Committee in presenting and facilitating decision-making on cancer care practice and market growth across the health system.
