ROLE SUMMARY FOR PHP /MySQL Front End Developer (Developer, SQL, PHP):

You will be working as a key member of the talented Digital Marketing Team based in our Lancaster office with the opportunity to evolve and develop our online presence through innovative products and design.

You will be working on an interesting variety of ongoing and new projects. Developing, designing, maintaining and constantly improving Worldview's websites with an ever expanding portfolio with the Digital team and contribute to increasing website SEO ranking factors as well as conversion rates.

The right applicant will be positive and enthusiastic, with fresh ideas and a desire to make a genuine difference to an expanding company, while supporting the wider company vision by making the company websites lead the way for serviced apartments in the world of travel.

ESSENTIAL FOR PHP /MySQL Front End Developer (Developer, SQL, PHP):
• Minimum 3 years' commercial experience in:
- Advanced PHP OOP knowledge
- Advanced MySQL design and query knowledge
- HTML 4/5, CSS 3 and JavaScript
- W3C standards and accessibility
- Project collaboration skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Team working
- Large e-commerce websites.

• A firm understanding of PHP programming and MySQL integration;
• A solid operational understanding of JavaScript (incl. JQuery & plugins)
• Good HTML5 and CSS3 coding skills including experience with responsive frameworks (such as Bootstrap)
• Experience using source control and defect tracking tools
• Excellent attention to detail
• Great communication skills
• Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
• Capable of working under pressure and on your own initiative, ensuring deadlines are met.

DESIRABLE FOR PHP /MySQL Front End Developer (Developer, SQL, PHP):
• JQuery, Sencha ExtJS or Touch
• Mobile development
• Subversion and TSVN
• Regular expressions and mod_rewrite
• Industry specific IT solutions for the online travel booking and customer service markets
• Writing technical specifications
• Strong creative skills would be a bonus.
• Experience developing mobile apps would be useful as would experience with any other frameworks or programming tools.
• Linux server administration
• SEO technical knowledge
• UX and user journey knowledge

SALARY
The salary is £30,000 - £40,000 p.a.
