PHP Developer (LAMP, Drupal, Agile, TDD/BDD) - 6 Month Contract

PHP DEVELOPER (LAMP, DRUPAL, AGILE, TDD/BDD) - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - BERKSHIRE - MARKET RATES

My key client based in Berkshire, is urgently seeking an experienced contract PHP Developer to join their existing development team on a 6 month contract basis. The role involves application code development for web-based products working within an agile team and development life cycle.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Knowledge of some or all of the following: LAMP Stack, Memcache, API's/REST, Drupal, XML, SQL & AWS. Strong PHP coding skills
- A working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and JSON
- Capable of initiating innovation in bringing in new ideas on technology and process to improve the delivery of product

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 5 years experience as a coder and web developer utilising LAMP technology and PHP 5 in particular
- Drupal experience would be useful but not mandatory
- Good experience in Continuous Integration/Delivery, TDD & BDD. Knowledge of git (BitBucket) & Jenkins useful. Experience with Chef & Vagrant may also be of interest
- Experience of one or more Agile frameworks (preferably Scrum)
- Experience with automated testing using Behat would be extremely beneficial as would experience with PHPUnit
- Familiarity with working with APIs would be advantageous
