PHP Developer - Contract - Central Manchester

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years experience building web properties in a professional environment and must have a strong technical background including experience working with servers and knowledge of operating systems.
He/she must have very strong logic and problem solving abilities, and must be able to work on these problems quickly while having very tight deadlines to meet.

This is a contract opportunity working on site 5 days a week without the option of remote working. For this reason preference will be given to those located within close proximity to the client's office.

The developers responsibilities will include-
Developing programming code from scratch or by adapting existing website graphics and software to meet business requirements
Uploading the website to servers
Testing the website and identifying any technical problems and glitches
Website maintenance / Database design

Skill requirements for this role include-
4 years experience with PHP 5
MySQL
2-4 years with HTML/CSS/Javascript
Zend Framework
Knowledge of jQuery, AJAX, Doctrine, PHPUnit, phpDocumentor, Unified Modeling Language (UML), PHP Design Patterns, Concurrent Versions System (CVS)

This role will be paid at £230-250/day and will last for approx 3 months.
