Photography Retoucher

A new exciting opportunity for an experienced Photographer Re-toucher to work on a 3 month contract for our large blue chip Company client based in Milton Keynes

Skills
*Mac literate using Wacom tablet
*Knowledge of Adobe Bridge and colour calibration, advanced use of Photoshop, plus knowledge and understanding of Lightroom and photography, in general
*Removing lens dust, colour noise, visible artefacts and reflections
*Creating compositions, textures, reflections, highlights and shadows
*The blending of multi-part composites seamlessly and naturally
*Controlling depth of field (blur background) crease removal from fabrics
*Use of selection tools (quick mask, path, colour range, refine edges and masks)
*Use of transform tools (perspective, warp and liquify)
*Working with adjustment layers, blending modes, actions, channels (creation of Alpha channels), colour profiles, colour matching, RGB to CMYK conversions
*Technical knowledge
*Working closely with internal and external teams to meet our deadlines

Job Purpose:
The Retoucher ensures that all imagery is retouched to the required standard through the (predominant) use of Photoshop. They are prepared to work hard, and they cope well with the high volumes of studio work each day work. The Retoucher also responds positively to deadline requirements and enjoys working as a team.

Key Responsibilities
The Retoucher is responsible for image quality on a variety of image types including lifestyle, specifically furniture and packaging; cutouts, both simple and complex; and fashion (working on skin tones and clothing).
*Managing our processes to produce quality media for customers that is in line with out core value
*Checking that all media is accurate and boosts our value
*Working closely with internal and external teams to meet deadlines
*Managing the performance of our suppliers and partners
*Tracking time through MIS to ensure that timesheets are accurate
