Pharmacy Technician Job

PHARMACY TECHNICIANS needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Mateo, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Pharmacy Technician Experience.
- Strong Customer Service Skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Review and approve pharmacy prior authorizations based on written clinical guidelines.
- Electronically file documents into member file folders in DocStar, set up files for new members, and audit files to ensure that information is accurately filed.
- Perform the timely triage of documents and authorization requests appropriately to the Clinical Pharmacists.
- Assure authorization requests are administratively complete and contact providers of service requests for additional information within the scope of this role.
- Answer phone calls regarding pharmacy benefits, formulary, claims and prior authorization process.
- Process direct member reimbursement (DMR).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Two (2) years of Health Plan/Managed Care/Insurance experience.
- TARs and Medi-Cal/Medicare experience. Having HPSM CareAdvantage knowledge is a plus!
- Must have strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn under pressure.
