Pharmaceutical Compounding Operator Job

PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOUNDING OPERATOR needed for a CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in HICKSVILLE, NY.

- Manufacturing experience in FDA/cGMP environment
- Able to work third shift 10:00 pm - 6:45am

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Compounding and mixing of pharmaceutical bulk product
- Following set manufacturing instruction procedures, SOPs and GMP's, tends mixer tanks, compounding kettles, various mills and mixers etc. that mix and compound raw materials used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products.
- Weighs out specified types and quantities of liquid or solid ingredients via automated dispensing systems or manual scales, according to formula.
- Transfers raw materials from storage/staging areas to compounding area. Transfers bulk material from compounding to storage areas.
- Transfers completed batches via pump or gravity drop into proper storage containers for movement to storage or other production departments.
- Extracts bulk samples for laboratory analysis. Handles, samples and dispenses hazardous raw materials as necessary.
- Performs daily cleaning/sanitization of kettles, mixers, pumps, utensils and compounding rooms.
- May perform weighing and mixing of sanitizing agents.
- Performs environmental monitoring according to schedule and SOP.
- Completes required batch documentation records.
- Assembles and disassembles pumps, mills, kettles, etc.
- Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMP's, company policies, and all other quality or regulatory requirements (OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS Associates degree or equivalent in lieu of college preferred.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills required to understand and communicate SOP's, cGMP's, and filling & manufacturing instructions, and identify compliance and non-compliance.
- Knowledge and experience working with chemicals. Eighteen (18) months experience in cGMP regulated industry.
- Proficiency in a dispensary environment, or equivalent
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform weight calculations.
