JOB PURPOSE:

PHAD iSupply Business lead to support SAP implementation as Supply Chain Management tool within TRD

Accountable for leading PHAD iSupply business team and iSupply Manufacturing Domain across different PDUs and locations, in direct collaborations with Business, IT and other TRD line functions to proactively drive implementation of SAP and MES as well as process, system and productivity improvement.

BASIC MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

- Coordinates internal and external stakeholders, customers and/or vendors
- Contribute as unit representative in TRD iSupply Governance Board. Ensure that own deliverables are met.
- Act as unit representative on development teams and/or other cross functional teams
- Communicates issues to involved stakeholders and propose corrective actions
- Ensures lessons learned sessions are in place for own tasks
- Coaching and technical training of super users and users as recognized technical expert or leader. Act as mentor for junior and senior associates (including academics).
- Understand resource constraints and identify and lead cost saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance to relevant regulations. Writing and reviewing of SOPs.
- Interpret results, evaluate data, draw conclusions and report back to team and management
- Support cultural evolution within own function by showing positive work ethics and influencing others.
- As process owner being accountable for process improvement. Drive implementation and sustain phase within area of expertise
- Introducing best practices to help increase organizational capability and effectiveness

ROLE PROFILE DESCRIPTION:

- Identify areas for innovation and improvement. Drive the evolution, design and maintenance of PHAD iSupply according to business strategy. Optimizes information management, approaches through an understanding of evolving and ever changing business needs and technology capabilities
- Team leader for PHAD iSupply team - Is responsible to manage Super Users and to align with other TRD line functions on processes at interfaces. Drives SAP ramp-up.
- Interfacing between the business (system users, sponsors and all other stakeholders) and technical groups (eg IT) consequently analyses and designs efficient and high quality IT systems which lead to improved business processes.
- Is accountable that requirements defined are consistent and complete and that new application/upgrade fully meet business objectives
- Manages independently reviews and documentation of projects plans and deliverables (eg URS, Validation documents, change controls, training and implementations plans, etc ).
- Assesses risks and supervises projects and implementation to guarantee global harmonization, standards compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Ensures regular reporting for project/implementation/ramp-up updates to senior management, users and stakeholders. Obtains approval from business and technical functions
- Supports internal/external inspections and audits.
- Actively contributes to SOP creation, revision and update.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

- Timely, accurate and reliable management of assigned tasks within budget
- Value adding to key internal and external stakeholders of global PHAD, measures by specific and relevant KPIs
- Solutions with high level of customer satisfaction
- Systems and processes globally standardized and in full compliance with all relevant regulations (eg GxP, SOX, ISEC)
- Compliance with standards, in particular, ethics, health, safety, and environment (HSE)

JOB DIMENSIONS:

NUMBER OF ASSOCIATES - No direct reports - Leading cross-functional Matrix teams in and outside PHAD (up to 20 members)

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - (Budget, Cost, Sales, etc.) According to local guidelines and responsibility within project budget

IMPACT ON THE ORGANIZATION - Facilitate the transformation of Global TRD systems. Provide leadership in the execution of strategic projects in Global PHAD.

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

EDUCATION (MINIMUM/DESIRABLE): Degree in science, engineering, business administration or equivalent.

DESIRABLE: Advanced degree including IT system expertise and/or business process excellence (IQP, six-sigma)

LANGUAGES: Fluent English and German required (oral and written)

EXPERIENCE/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT:

- >3 years of relevant experience in business support role with related areas of business (eg pharmaceutical development or manufacturing organization) or > 3 years of experience in technical domain of expertise (ie SAP application know-how)
- Proven track record in project management/implementation management, good organization and planning skills.
- Good knowledge about the Drug Development process and key supply chain principles in Technical R&D.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (eg GMP, HSE etc.) and specific standards.
