Our digital team produces engaging online and interactive learning solutions, and we are currently looking for a UI Developer - Web / iOS / UX to become part of the expanding digital team focusing on bringing learning software to market. The primary focus of this role will be everything to do with shipping great user experiences across Web and iOS platforms: Covers User Interface development and implementation of User Experience (UX) across Web and iOS Play a key part in the user experience design/storyboarding process Building interactive applications with personality Further the development of our web-based learning platform, The Arena () and other projects Build on your iOS App development experience to launch mobile app development within the company via iPhone / iPad apps Build quick-fire taster apps as well as fully functional rich clients In web development you will have the following demonstrable skills and first-hand experience of: Building web views using server-side web technologies such as ASP.NET MVC Good Javascript skills including experience of using a client-side library such as jQuery or Prototype Extensive working knowledge of HTML/CSS gained from handling cross-browser quirks and meeting web standards, as well as knowledge of latest standards such as HTML5/CSS3 In iOS development you will have the following demonstrable skills and first-hand experience of: Building an app and publishing it to the App Store Creating a great user experience by implementing personality in your app Other skills/technologies we use which it would help to have experience of: ASP.NET MVC and C# Rich-client development via Flash/Flex or Silverlight Website deployment and configuration As an accomplished web UI developer who is a creative thinker and problem-solver, you will relish the opportunity to challenge yourself further and to develop your iOS skills and experience in the area of education, where every decision impacts the learning process. You will bring an enthusiasm and determination to achieve the right visual effect and behaviour in any user interface you work on and delight the user. You will help shape the user experience of our digital products going forward from personality and behaviour to coding, applying your skills and ideas from concept to completion in creating robust and engaging learning applications. Working closely with our in-house designer, developers and training team, you'll be required to contribute ideas directly into the design of our learning products and to communicate these clearly with non-technical people within the company. Making an impact in this role will involve you hitting the ground running and making it your own. It will require you to embrace new technical and personal challenges to make the role your own and to play your part in the company's success. You will be a graduate with a Computer Science/Multimedia or other relevant degree with 2+ years' commercial experience building websites and some iOS development experience.
