Personalized Lab Applications Business Analyst

Harvey Nash is looking for a Personalized Lab Applications Business Analyst for an 8 month project in Switzerland.

The role is for a Business Analyst with experience in software development.

You are responsible for -  Understanding the research business environment, the lab processes, data flow, and research data in order to identify the informatics needs. As part of a global team, the candidate will gather requirements to build and deliver enterprise informatics solutions.
-  The design, implementation, testing and maintenance of small applications.
-  Meeting the client approved guidelines and team internal standards in terms of development, quality and security
-Understanding the business environment by working directly with the scientists
-Supporting other IT teams by evaluating and improving their processes
-Analysing and challenging business processes and identifying areas with potential for optimization
-Managing individual applications, including planning and monitoring of the work performed by other developers
-Managing the delivery of software solutions
-Enabling creative use of existing technology platforms and encouraging new technologies where appropriate

Requirements

-Experience in programming is required to ensure good quality
-comfortable with working closely with end user clients and with a team of developers to deliver customized applications
-Strong knowledge in programming language such as C#, ASP .NET or equivalent, experience in SQL, SharePoint is beneficial
-Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in both a life science discipline and computer science
-Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Visio
-Excellent communication (oral and written) in English
