Permanent Way Design Engineer

Tangent are currently looking for an experienced Permanent Way Design Engineer to work based in Croydon for our client, a leading infrastructure organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
- Produce design calculations and drawings.
- Direct Assistant Designers and CAD technicians, and other personnel as required.
- Contribute to the production of design investigations, reports and specifications.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

- HNC with 3 - 5 years experience or experienced Engineering Graduate.
- Awareness of construction methods and materials.
- A working knowledge of office applications, CAD and CAD standards
- Ability to work in MX Rail and/or Bentley Rail track
- Engineering Drawing Practices.
- Ability to plan and produce compliant alignment design unsupervised.
- Knowledge of trackform, track system and  base components and track system identification
- Railway and railway environment configuration

Rates around £34 - £42 per hour
