Performance Test Manager - Cloud Contract Immediate Start

A performance test manager is sought by this major iconic web company to be the sole performance test manager for the introduction of 2 cloud vendors they introduce a massive Openstack cloud infrastructure.

+++ They want someone with strong experience of testing infrastructure and networks, as opposed to applications. Its not worth applying if you only have application testing experience +++

Here is a high level summary of what they are looking for:

- a Self starter - can get on with the test manager role, pull together reqs and create tests and create automation
- Got x2 vendors coming in to implement this Openstack cloud infrastructure
- Need to test platform for integration and that it is what they need
- Wants infra testing background not application background.
- Building networks and infra in cloud. AWS or similar. Or Openstack private cloud
- V bright and v capable
- Starting architectural workshops next week - want that completed by end of September
- Automation
- Performance testing background
- Functional and non-functional tests
- someone who can create automated tests touching API's, eg openstack
- aws is a bonus (that's all api driven)
- First key deliverable get a grip on system and what functional and non- functional tests are
- Sole responsibility for the testing for this project. Their responsibility is testing, putting plan together, putting tests together, working with team to understand what deliverables are, reporting on testing, prioritising the testing
- Working with a team of 10 internally + all of the vendor staff
- Working with a principal architect. Some of the tooling has been decided, although not hard and fast want someone who is an expert in their field - open source / openstack tools. What else is out there. Freedom to use expertise.
- This is a greenfield environment for automation testing - all POC and manual
- Ideally will also have DNS, Load balancing, LDAP

Initial 6 month contract and then rolling.
