JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PERFORMANCE TEST LEAD:

Report to ADS NFTOAT Project Manager

Project report to the Test Manager

Performance Technical Go-To person for Project Managers, Development Architects, Development Leads, Test Managers, Testers

Utilize and Improve Technical Performance Framework, process, criteria, tools standards

Provide a re-usable approach for Performance testing services across all technologies for all business units

Collaborate with service partners and suppliers to deliver projects to high quality, on time

Technical Lead/Co-ordinator for Performance Testers

Performance Tools identification, assessment, POC and configuration

Define the daily tasks utilising a Technical Performance Test Framework, process, criteria, templates, tools and standards

Work in an Agile and Waterfall development, service delivery environment

Collaborate with service partners and suppliers to deliver projects to high quality, on time

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PERFORMANCE TEST LEAD:

Gather and Interpret Business, Technical & Service Acceptance Requirements to form the Test Design for Performance End to End testing

Extract the Technical elements to form the design

Co-ordinate the design to offshore Performance testers

Work in an environment where the solution design can change

Technical Lead, Support and Co-ordinate Performance Testers onshore and offshore

Create the Performance Test Plan from the Technical Design

Lead the script development, tools setup/configuration, execution, analysis and report the Plan

Perform/co-ordinate Performance POCs

Hands On performance script development, updates and enhancements

Perform Technical Analysis

Support troubleshooting, shakedown tasks

Execute the Plan on time aligned to design and criteria

Raise Defects

Provide Daily, Weekly and Project Closure Reports

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR PERFORMANCE TEST LEAD:

Strong Technical Performance Test Architecture and Leadership

Strong Communicator with Stakeholder Management

Strong Experience with Performance tools LoadRunner, HP Diagnostics and HP Sitescope and any other Performance toolsets

Strong Understanding of Performance testing and End to End to Application Systems on Pre-Prod environments

Strong working knowledge of transactional, static applications and supporting application, integration layer, MWS technologies through Software Platforms, Front End, Back End Applications and Network Layers covering VM and Physical Servers, Main Frames, databases, MQ, MB Middleware services, networks, load balancing, clustering, stubbing across multiple IT technologies

Languages - C/C++, Java

Sys Admin - IBM-AIX/HP Unix/Sun Solaris/Redhat Linux OS, Vi Editor fundamentals

Shell Scripts, cron jobs Fundamentals

Batch Scheduling & Execution Fundamentals

Interpret Application & System logs

Database SQL Queries (RDBMS - Oracle, DB2)

Understanding Networking concepts (Failover, Resilience, Failback)

Basic understanding Application Security (eg Role based Security)

Ability to run Diagnostics (Application, MWS & DB layers)

Experience Performance testing in a Waterfall and Agile model
