Our client is a leading IT consultancy. We are currently looking for a Performance Tester to help on a major project.

You should have excellent knowledge of both Rational Performance Tester and Remedy. You should be able to create, run and record performance tests using IBM Rational Performance Tester. You should be able to demonstrate familiarity with the various components of the tool, such as the test recorder, scheduler, execution engine as well as its automated data manipulation capability.

You should be competent at identifying and managing server responses in order to detect the causes of system performance bottlenecks. You will then collect and integrate server resource monitoring data with application performance measurements in order to assess performance results against application SLA targets. You will be familiar with testing web based and mobile based applications and familiar with technologies of this nature.

Knowledge of how Rational Performance Tester integrates with Rational Quality Manager would be a distinct advantage.

You will be responsible for creating and running performance tests, tracking test results and producing reports and recommendations to help alleviate performance bottlenecks.

Skills and experience required:

Experienced performance tester
ISEB accredited
Knowledge of ITIL principles
Proven ability conducting performance, stress, load, volume and other non-functional testing disciplines
Excellent knowledge of IBM Rational Performance Tester and Remedy
Experience testing both mobile and web applications
Data-driven testing
Oracle
Java
HTTP protocols
Mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, HTML5, etc)
RESTful API's

Knowledge of various web and application Servers
Knowledge of Rational Quality Manager (particularly integrating with IBM Rational Performance Tester)
