Performance Test Engineer

SENIOR PERFORMANCE ENGINEER (6 MONTH CONTRACT TO START)

My Client is based in Dublin City Center are looking for Snr. Performance Test Engineers to work on next generation Applications and Exciting Internal Projects with experience in Loadrunner,with a strong knowledge of performance bottlenecks and web performance measures to test web applications and other products across the company.

My Client is a global company with over 40 offices worldwide and are leaders within their field. Their Technology Center is based in Dublin City Center and at the moment, they work on a lot of projects with a focus on Innovation and development of new cutting edge technologies.

Currently there are more than 50 people in their offices here in Dublin which is their global R&D Center which is all Technical staff, they offer excellent Salary and Package for the successful applicant.

DAY TO DAY:

- Write technical performance test plans for the defined non-functional requirements, and in some case help to define those requirements
- Maintain the performance testing environment as required
- Develop data driven test automation scripts and executes load testing of the application Design and produce performance related reports
- Using LoadRunner, be able to Develop scripts using the LoadRunner web protocols like HTTP/HTML
- Contribute to reviews of the load model and implement performance test scenarios as required
- Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and provide the architects and developers with the necessary inputs for tuning applications

SKILLS

- 3+ years previous experience developing and/or testing
- Strong Loadrunner EXP, knowledge of other performance related tools would be a plus
- Understanding of performance bottlenecks and end-to-end performance web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc.)
- Ability to find to identify root causes.
- A good understanding of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, JSON.
- Knowledge of .NET would be beneficial.
- The candidate is expected to have an understanding of the fundamentals of relational databases and SQL. It would be advantageous to have experience of Microsoft SQL Server.
