Performance Test Development Engineer - Contract - 3 Months - Cambridge

A very challenging Performance Test Development Engineer position has emerged for probably one of the most exciting companies based in Cambridge. My client is growing rapidly and unique in what they do within the digital media and telecoms space.

You will be designing, implementing and executing Performance tests; Automate Performance tests; Work with Engineering to ensure portability of performance tests into the automated regression suite; Deliver accurate and informative test reports in a timely manner to help drive product decisions.

The successful candidate will have experience with the following; Streaming media technologies and protocols; Strong networking and Unix/Linux experience; Scripting to support and build automated tests; Python development; Experience of load tools, such as Spirent Avalanche, IXIA and IXload; Testing network/internet; Display a can do attitude, thinking outside the box to come up with innovative testing solutions; Conduct methodical and detailing testing. Working with the required urgency to meet deadlines.

In addition to this you will have experience with the following tools/skills; SQL, HTML/XML, Perforce and Jira, Automated test framework, System Administration of Linux machines and networks.
