Performance Manager - Clinical Audit team

We are looking for a performance driven individual to manage a team of 30+ health professionals who are responsible for auditing assessment reports on the Personal Independence Payments contract. This is a fixed term contract for two months with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance and general day-to-day management of the audit team. You will take charge of the audit recovery strategy to ensure that assessment reports are audited and sent to the Department for Work and Pensions to make benefit entitlement decisions. Targets are pre-defined and you will be responsible for daily progress reporting and where appropriate making decisions on the size and scope of the team depending upon workload.

Reporting to the Business Assurance Director and working closely with other members of the Senior Management Team, you will also work closely with our Chief Medical Advisors to ensure that staff are well equipped to carry out their role. The successful candidate is required to develop a clearly defined strategy to ensure rapid delivery of results in a very dynamic environment. knowledge of Audit is not essential but a strong command of productivity, motivating staff and producing results, is. This is a demanding role, that requires a focused, performance driven individual with the ability to manage a large team. Are you ready for the challenge?

Desired Experience:

Sufficient medical knowledge and skills to manage teams of health professionals
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and a driving passion for delivering results whilst inspiring and mentoring teams
Dependable and self-motivated with an ability to work to tight deadlines
Flexibility to work out of core hours to meet business needs as and when required
Demonstrates an ability to treat all individuals with respect, responds sensitively to differences and encourages others to do likewise
