Performance Engineer

We are looking for an experienced PERFORMANCE ENGINEER who will ensure delivery of optimal application performance. Responsible for data collection, reporting & trending, solution performance oversight, business impact analyses, ad-hoc studies, benchmarks, modelling and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of Microsoft Server and Database systems, automation on virtualized hosting environments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required
- 5+ years experience required
- Proven experience using independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

SKILLS
MUST HAVES:

- Extensive experience with any Application Performance Management and related tools
- Strong experience with investigating and solving large complex performance analysis/testing/troubleshooting on
- Windows OS
- IIS/Tomcat
- Virtualized infrastructure
- SQL Server
- Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure (Servers, networks, storage, etc. ) and associated capacity and performance indicators
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, networking topology

NICE TO HAVES:

- Experience with tools: Visual Studio Performance Testing, HP Performance Center
- Experience with Database systems: SQL server/Sybase
- Cisco/Microsoft certifications
- F5 Load balancer experience

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate complex performance systems
- Work closely with many dev and ops teams to identify and evaluate appropriate scenarios
- Build and execute performance tests while building monitoring on the system being tested
- Evaluate system components: CPU/Memory/Disk/Network & OS/Application
- Build predictions of system behavior based on evaluated models
