PERFORMANCE ANALYST

ROLE

To support the production, analysis and submission of performance and other data returns. To contribute to the provision of a high quality performance and Business Intelligence data and analysis service to senior managers and commissioners. To support with the management and development of IT systems related to the above activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- An attention to detail and seeks a high level of data quality and accuracy.
- To assist in the development and implementation of, and comply with the client's corporate policies and processes, including the corporate performance and Business Intelligence framework.
- To ensure that equality, diversity and human rights considerations are an integral part of performance and Business Intelligence activity.
- To provide high quality performance and related statistical information and analysis.
- To be responsible for the issuing, collection, recording, analysis and reporting of performance data and related statistical returns.
- To decipher, interpret and apply national guidance on statutory performance returns to ensure returns are accurate, auditable and meet required timescales.
- To assist in the creation and development of ICT systems that facilitates the production of statistical reports and assist in the development of other team member's competency in using such systems.
- To extract complex data from large scale databases and use complex manipulation techniques on such data for the purpose of producing performance and statistical reports that include an analytical commentary.
- To collect, interrogate and verify data from national and local sources, including schools and colleges and to provide guidance in the accurate completion of returns.
- To maintain a detailed understanding of guidelines and definitions for reporting complex data sets. To interpret and provide analysis of data in order to support and explain information.
- To carry out projects such as the school census which may require coordinating work across colleagues.
- To assist in the creation, design and development of performance statistical reports, analysis, dashboards and computer systems.
- To respond to ad hoc requests for performance information from schools, the public, senior managers and external bodies.
- To develop and monitor targets, provide forecasts of performance trends and support benchmarking activity.
- To contribute and respond to developments in the performance and quality agenda by attending related events and keeping abreast of developments.
