Accountabilities:
Provision of technical support (including incident and problem resolution) for systems and processes in complex environments
Carry out technical activities in support of project delivery, service improvement and ongoing support of the platform
Identify and implement improvements to technical processes and toolsets to improve resource and cost efficiency
Identify and remediate risks associated with the environment
Grade Specific Accountabilities include but not limited to:
Wider knowledge of business as a whole and actively investigate and promote Industry best standard practices across z/Platform
Support and implement changes to the z/OS estate as required.
Resolution of incidents and problems across the estate in line with KPI's.
Represent z/Series support team in WAR room/conference calls with incident management and technical teams in order to restore service.
Support testing cycles providing feedback to test managers on results
Manage the Sign-off that solution/service is fit for Production environment as part of Gateway.
Work effectively with the wider z/Platform team to ensure the smooth transition of projects into live service.
Provide consultancy on their specialism across other areas of SD and ADM

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:
Technical knowledge of the environment and associated technologies and the related standards and policies used to govern these technologies
Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources, allowing the provision of highly effective solutions in complex environments
Strong quality and service focus
Experience of incident recoveries
Ability to identify and drive process improvements
Experience of operating in a Service Delivery environment with good understanding of frameworks and processes
Proven systematic and analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to implement effective business solutions
Good communication skills (oral and written)

Role Specific Capabilities/Knowledge include but not limited to:
Knowledge of z/OS and associated ISV Product usage across the LBG estate.
Experience of supporting and troubleshooting critical on-line systems and strong experience of z/OS system performance tuning and diagnosis.
Proven ability to work with key stakeholders and communicate technical issues and concepts in an appropriate manner.
Highly motivated and supportive/team player with a strong delivery ethic, willing to provide On-Call support, work unsociable hours when required and at short notice to support incidents and delivery of key projects.
Proven ability to recognise and drive through improvements related to products and processes across the z/Series Platform.
