PEOPLESOFT DEVELOPER

SUMMARY:

As the PeopleSoft Developer, you will support PeopleSoft Financial, Supply Chain and HR applications running in a Windows/SQL environment. Our client just went through an extensive upgrade on the Payroll side and is looking for several PeopleSoft Developers to finish the upgrade and implementation for the HR group. In this role, you will be responsible for full system life cycle support of Peoplesoft Financials, Supply Chain, HR and Portal including system analysis, programming, and testing. You will work with the PeopleSoft SA/DBA on performance tuning, enhancements, maintenance patches, and production support. On a typical day you will interface with functional analysts as well as with technical resources (other developers, DBAs, PS Admin, Windows Admin, Security Admin) on enhancements and troubleshooting issues. You must be proactive in ensuring stable and continuous services, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. Who do you know? Our client is READY TO HIRE!

Responsibilities:

- Development of PeopleSoft pages, components, menus; Develop, test, debug and document PeopleSoft applications in accordance with architectural requirements
- Development of PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker Messaging, Component Interfaces; Participate in the technical design of solutions to meet business requirements
- Development of detailed technical design specifications and unit test plans for Application modifications or customizations
- Development of detailed release notes for Application deployment and take part during the Application deployment
- Development of technical Application Support to business, quality assurance and end-user Support teams
- Debug Application functions and processes
- Analyze and troubleshoot Development related issues
- Development and Support of Interfaces and reports
- Utilize standard development, testing, migration, and support processes and practices to ensure successful PeopleSoft implementations
- Understand and work from business requirements documentation
- Identify gaps between business requirements and the delivered Peoplesoft Financials Application. Propose approaches, solutions, and estimates for closing gaps via process re-design or system functionality
- Identify problems and/or potential issues and formulate systemic solutions or propose business process alternatives to meet business requirements
- Assist/create project charters and project plans
- Coordinate and Complete project tasks according to project plans
- Participate in internal customer meetings to better understand requirements and challenges
- Follow through on all tasks and take ownership of project issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of experience in supporting PeopleSoft (ERP) HR/Payroll modules, preferably with core HCM, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Recruitment and ePerformance.
- Thorough understanding of Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQL, SQR, Application Designer, Trace, and other development tools
- Must have PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) experience
- Experience relative to set-up, migration, implementation, configuration, and changes of PeopleSoft application
- A high degree of creative ability, analytical and technical skills and independent judgment
- Ability to work under stress with 'time-critical' deadlines and expectations
- Ability and willingness to accommodate production-related work schedule variations
- Experience with FSCM 9.1 desirable
- Experience with PeopleTools 8.5 desirable
- Formal PeopleSoft training courses desirable
- Other development languages a plus
- Uncompromising integrity; Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field
