Projektbeschreibung

The role is to fill in for existing resource for up to 9 months, and reports to the Head of Pensions Risk Management. The role is responsible for supporting the management of the assets and liabilities of the Group's Pension plans as well as the stakeholder/trustee relationships and associated negotiations.

The role is to maintain and enhance suite of models to project and monitor Group exposure to pension liabilities. The holder will also be responsible for the design and production of regular and bespoke management information on Group pension liability exposures and help optimise the risk management of Group pension liability exposures.

The role is highly analytical, requiring an understanding of the key drivers in a complex and dynamic environment.

Success in this role will require the candidate to have extensive financial markets, and ideally, pension experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Provide data and analysis (at CFO level) on pensions strategy and risks, and on financial performance of the pension scheme assets and liabilities.

* Contribute to a framework to enable accurate and timely Management Information which provides insight into the drivers of structural balance sheet income, associated expenses and operational costs supporting Pension Management Committee (PMC), and Pensions Committee Reporting and Pensions ICAAP submission that forms part of the overall annual Pillar 2 Group ICAAP

* Support the enhancement, agreement and implement the long term pensions strategy for the Group and continue to support the ongoing Risk Management of the Group Defined Benefit pension schemes.

* Continue to develop and support the Risk Culture in GCT through risk processes, enhanced risk and compliance capabilities and timely resolution of identified issues.

* Support the reputational risk of the Pension Scheme funding with supporting Governance

* Support the assessment and management of the Regulatory requirements and impact on Capital

KEY CAPABILITIES

* Understanding of actuarial techniques, practice and principles, market risk and hedging instruments

* Analytical and numerate - ability to rapidly absorb, review and refine new concepts

* Understanding of the current UK economy and economic outlook.

* Knowledge of Pensions regulatory framework applying to the Group

* Strong problem solving skills - able to produce options at short notice based on rapidly changing scenarios

* Strong communication skills - demonstrates both verbal and written

* Attention to detail and ability to make good decisions

* Strong prioritisation skills
